One of the blogs I read regularly is Cabinet of Wonders, which I think of as a travel blog but the author probably doesn’t. A few weeks back, they linked to the wonderful Leafcutter Designs. I followed the links, and ended up buying Crystal a set of Leafcutter’s beautiful recipe dice for her birthday.
This morning, we rolled the dice:
Then we went to the farmers’ market. We bought what we could, but it’s still early, and not everything was available. Here’s what we ended up with – look at those incredible oyster mushrooms:
We had some carrots and some spices in the house already; we gave up on the kohlrabi. It wasn’t too much work to make it a meal:
And then we ate it:
So, a blog post turned into dinner. I couldn’t be happier.
Bonus baby picture: Crystal’s trying to work here, but Abby doesn’t like it when Crystal sits down while she’s in the carrier. The ergonomics of this situation are pretty questionable.
